As I wrote last Wednesday, OWC let me know that they were in the process of building my new Modbook. At that time, they estimated it would ship in about 72 hours, which should have meant Friday.
Friday came and went. No Modbook shipment notification.
I contacted OWC this morning and they aren’t sure of when it’s going to ship. They say to allow about 5 days from when it enters the build phase (which was last Wednesday). So, if that interval is correct, then the Modbook should ship by tomorrow at the latest.
Ugh. This is like telling a kid it’s Christmas, but then telling him he was to wait 5 more days to open his presents. The anguish of it all! :)

Oh Ryan, I’m so sorry, if it’s any consolation, the same thing happened to me. Once the status changed it did take 6 more days. And like you I couldn’t breathe till I got it. So I’ll send good vibes that you get it real soon. I won’t be back on line till next week, probably, so by that time you should have good news and all kinds of reviews to report.
FYI, after all kinds of playing… the bestest program for ModBook is SketchBook Pro….. I keep going back to it for it’s simplicity, it’s easy to customize a brush and you can finish off your project in PS or Painter very easily. So that’s my 2ยข….

I think I’ll survive though. I keep need to take a few deep breaths and relax; the long wait is over. It’s been nearly 2 months, I can make it 3-4 more days.
I think you’re right about Sketchbook Pro. I downloaded it and Art Rage on my current Macbook and prefer Sketchbook. And that’s without the tablet functionality! So, now I just have to save up and buy a copy of that! :)
Have a good week while you are “unplugged”. Get a lot of drawing done! I can’t wait to see some art! :)
