After writing earlier today about the frustration of waiting for the Modbook to ship, I got an e-mail from OWC saying my baby is headed to me! I had given up hope on it shipping today, assuming that shipments went out prior to 5:00 PM. I got the e-mail at 8:37 PM CST.
According to Fed-Ex, they have the package and it is in transit to me. Estimated delivery: tomorrow before 3 PM.
FREAKING AWESOME!
So, expect tons of photos and my initial impressions tomorrow.

Another tid-bit. I told you I used a small lap desk (got at Barnes & Noble, also at Office Max for $17.) Yesterday afternoon I found, tucked away in my attic, a small swivel laptop thingie, billed to keep it cooler and rotate. Boy does that work well on the lap desk. Good air flow, less heat and MB swivels while drawing…. I think now I’ve my MB customized to the hilt.

Ha! I will try not to. I will sit on my hands until I calm down a bit. :)
You are one hip MB chick with all your toys! :) I can’t wait just to get my hands on it, then I’ll start thinking of toys. I made my birthday wishlist last week (it’s in September), and it’s 100% Modbook toys: the Logitech gadget you recommended, a travel USB keyboard, a stand for my desk at work, etc. Good times!
