Modbookers is a website by and for the Modbook lovin’ community out there. This site is dedicated to the people that own a Axiotron Modbook, or are considering purchasing one in the near future.
Ryan Arrowsmith (The Dude Behind the Curtain)
Ryan got the idea of starting Modbookers when he first got bitten by the MB bug. As an die-hard Apple fan, and an aspiring little-bit-of-everything artist-type-person, he was smitten with the Modbook from the first grainy JPEG he saw. He can haz MB.
But he was quickly disappointed once he started scouring the internet looking for reviews, first-hand accounts, pictures, video, etc. He came across several Modbook user sites, but they seemed to quickly devolve into massive bitch-o-ramas. Having worked in retail and customer service, Ryan knew full well that the internet feedback probably wasn’t representative of the user satisfaction for the Modbook. History indicates that most users who are satisfied tend to be less vocal while those who are unhappy tend to yammer on and on endlessly.
So, Ryan put on his Thinking Cap and pondered what to do. Then it hit him: make a site with basic design elements, write an article about himself in the third person and try to put some positivity out there. If you believe in the product and the company, do something to support them.
For Ryan was a wise, wise man.
He knew the Modbook was sex in computer form. Therefore, Modbookers was born, and 2 minutes of your life were wasted reading this bio.
Aside from Modbookers, Ryan also runs a personal blog, an illustration and tutorial site and was the original 5th Beatle.
